Blackened Fish

Ingredients

  • 2-3 white fish filets of your preference

  • 1-2 tbsp Cool Runnings Fish Seasoning, Barbecue Spice, Cajun Seasoning or All Purpose Seasoning

  • ¼ cup butter, melted

Directions

  1. Sprinkle your choice of Cool Runnings seasoning on both sides of each filet until evenly coated.

  2. Heat a frying pan on medium-high heat; add enough butter to cover the bottom of the pan. When the butter starts browning, add the fish.

  3. Fry one filet at a time to avoid crowding the pan. Fry first side for 2-4 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of the filet.

  4. Add more butter to the pan and fry the second size for 2-4 minutes, until fully cooked.

  5. Enjoy!

 

Tips

  • Butter caramelizes easily giving you a nice blackened sear combined with your choice of seasoning. Just be careful not to burn it. 

  • It's easy to get on the salty side when using fish, so be mindful of how much seasoning you're adding.
